At some point in almost every child's life, it seems that they go through a phase in which they really like Thomas the Tank Engine. Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends first started as a series of children's books created in 1945, called The Railway Series. As the decades passed by, Rev. W. Awdry's books captured the thoughts and imaginations of children across the world, with over 100 books published to date. But it wasn't until the 80's that the books were brought to our TV screens. After decades of being on the air, Thomas is still very popular amongst children, who still love to follow his adventures together with his friends.
